DND-CAT supports a broad range of scientific and engineering research programs that need the high X-ray brightness of the Advanced Photon Source. The DND-CAT facility, located at APS Sector-5, has hard X-ray capabilities that include; SAXS, WAXS, XRD, EXAFS, XRR, SXRD, and XSW.
Services are offerred outside of Northwestern University
EXAFS x-ray spectroscopy measurements, High energy x-ray scattering, High resolution single detector x-ray powder diffraction, High-resolution 11-detector x-ray powder diffraction, Kappa diffractometer for XSW and x-ray surface diffraction, Small-angle and Wide-angle x-ray scattering: SAXS and SAXS/WAXS, UHV chamber for XSW and x-ray surface diffraction, X-ray microtomography
