BD FACSAria IIu High Speed Cell Sorter
Aria has four lasers, 405, 488, 561 and 633 nm, and can detect light in sixteen photomultiplier tubes. Its primary function is to examine complex populations of cells and yield pure populations of cells. The Aria can sort lymphocytes at a rate of approximately 15,000 events per second. For larger cells, the rate is much slower in order to optimize the passage of cells through the instrument. Cells from single populations can be sorted into 96-well plates. Alternatively, the Aria can sort into two 15-ml tubes or four 5-ml tubes. The Aria can purify samples that are simply positive and negative for a single fluorophore or as complex as nine-color samples with intricate gating schemes. The BD FACSAria IIu cell sorter is a high speed benchtop digital flow cytometer equipped with a sensitive, fixed-alignment cuvette flow cell. It has three spatially separated lasers - 405 nm, 488 nm and 633 nm. Its primary function is to analyze complex populations of cells and yield pure populations of cells meeting defined criteria. The sorter can purify samples that are simply positive and negative for a single fluorophore or as complex as multi-color samples with complex gating strategies. Sorting can be performed into two or four tubes with speeds up to 25,000 events/second. The system sorts by incorporating cells from the sample tube into a stream of sterile PBS. The stream is interrogated by the lasers at the flow cell and the system electronics keeps track of each cell as they pass through the laser and determines specific cells that meet the sort criteria. A transducer vibrates the stream and induces droplet formation, with cells in the stream being incorporated into the droplets. If a cell meets the sorting criteria and is in the last drop before the break off, the instrument will charge that drop. The charged droplet is then deflected into the proper collection tube by the charge plates. Different cell types can be sorted with the use of 70 ?m, 85 ?m and 100 ?m nozzles. If you need a yellow-green (561 nm) laser, check the BD FACSAria III instead. [Product Link]

Sony MA900 Cell Sorter
4 lasers/12 channels. The MA900 from Sony is developed with powerful, modern technologies including a patented micro fluidic chip-based design, comprehensive fluidic controls, and advanced automation that dramatically simplifies operation to make sorting less subjective and improve reliability. Choose from four excitation lasers — 488 nm, 405 nm, 561 nm, and 638 nm — on two beam spots, the MA900 supports choice and flexibility, enabling the detection of fluorescence signals up to 12 fluorescence parameters and two scatter parameters. With the highest level of automation available on any cell sorter, the MA900 uses sensors, software, and engineering know-how across the workflow from startup to aseptic cleaning, QC, and sort setup. Intelligent automation dramatically simplifies operation and streamlines troubleshooting. The MA900 offers 70 μm and 100 μm nozzle sizes that meet the needs of most sorting applications. Once events are gated on plots, target cells can be sorted for further analysis. A choice of eight default and five custom sort modes is available to achieve the desired purity and yield of the sorted population. Sort devices supported include 2-way and 4-way tubes as well as 6-, 12-, 24-, 48-, 96-, and 384-well plates. The MA900 is installed inside an custom class A2 level II biosafety cabinet, which incorporates a built-in aerosol management system that operates independently to actively evacuate aerosols from the sort collection chamber. The custom biosafety cabinet is designed and tested to meet international standards including the National Sanitation Foundation Standard 49 (NSF49). ThermoFisher Attune™ NxT Flow Cytometer
4 lasers/14 channels. Attune NxT was developed with acoustic-assisted hydrodynamic focusing technology, and advanced fluidics designed to minimize clogging and effectively handle a broad range of cell types. This allows to run samples up to 10X faster and achieve greater resolution with little fear of sample loss due to clogging, for a higher degree of data, detail, and throughput that enables processing of a large range of sample types, including large clumpy cells, samples with a low concentration of cells, and precious samples, more quickly and accurately than ever before with no loss in data quality. The addition of the CytKick™ Max Autosampler enables significantly faster high-throughput screening on a multiparametric platform in plate formats, including 96-well, 384-well, and deep-wells with the high volume intake. The Attune NxT flow cytometer is ideal for immunophenotyping and signaling studies, cell cycle analysis, detection of rare events, stem cell analysis, cancer and apoptosis studies, microbiological assays, and more. https://www.thermofisher.com/us/en/home/life-science/cell-analysis/flow-cytometry/flow-cytometers/attune-nxt-flow-cytometer.html
