The Molecular Pharmacology and Chemical Biology Shared Resource (MPCBSR) provides essential and a broad spectrum of services for the assessment of new therapeutics, including high-quality collection and management of clinical trial specimens and determination of clinical PK/PD and potential drug-drug interactions (DDI), pharmacological studies on novel therapeutics in preclinical models, including DM/PK/PD, on-target mechanisms, biomarkers, and combination effects, and chemical synthesis of new compounds and drug delivery nanomaterials for improved therapy.

The Comparative Pathology Laboratory (CPL) is a veterinary diagnostic laboratory and research pathology core. CPL serves the UC system and external research community by providing laboratory animal diagnostics, clinical and health surveillance screening necessary for the care and use of animals in research, and expert pathology support for basic and translational research.

Research services include gross necropsy, hematology, serum biochemistry, histology, immunohistochemistry, and histopathology interpretation and scoring by a board-certified comparative pathologist. Consultation and training is offered. Health surveillance and disease diagnostic services are also available.

The UC Davis Flow Cytometry Shared Resource operates cell sorting and analytic cytometry equipment, including nanoscale and spectral flow cytometry support. We have two full-service locations, one on the main academic campus in Davis, CA and another in a separate facility at the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, CA. We offer multiparameter cell sorting and analytic cytometry services, instrumentation training and comprehensive flow cytometry training for UCD, UC, and industry scientists. Comprehensive, week long flow cytometry training is offered online in winter and summer, with live-streamed lecture and laboratory instruction - this course is open to all interested participants and typically costs less than $1,000.00 for a full week of training. Real-time PCR Research and Diagnostics Core Facility accepts research projects from both academic and private sector. The Core Facility can accommodate projects involving laser microdissection, RNA and DNA extractions through semi-automated nucleic acid extractions systems, cDNA synthesis and complete Real-time analysis using a laser 7900 HTA FAST platform. Real-time PCR Research and Diagnostics Core Facility provides research results efficiently and rapidly while adhering to the highest quality standards and offers a unique opportunity to concentrate the latest equipment and knowledge in one location.

Located in Sacramento and anchored by Northern California's largest academic Good Manufacturing Practice facility, the institute's fee-for-service cores and support services include pre-clinical transplantation assays in immune deficient mouse models, as well as an ability to scale-up manufacturing processes for novel cell and gene therapies. From bench to bedside, UC Davis can meet research needs with affordable services for investigators, including external academic and industry partners.

The BAE Shop provides support to UC research through the engineering, design, fabrication, and repair of custom equipment. We can take your ideas, napkin sketches, drawings, and models and turn them into real parts, machines, tools, and systems. Liquid and Solid State Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy at the University of California, Davis

Accredited by the College of American Pathologists, the Biorepository Shared Resource, or BRSR, provides well-characterized, high-quality, de-identified specimens with annotated data for clinical and basic science research purposes. The biorepository functions as a centralized tissue bank to provide researchers access to cancer- and non-cancer-related specimens (fresh/
frozen tissue, paraffin blocks/sections and fluids), procured and stored using international standards of best practices and protocols compliant with the Office for Human Research Protection. Specimens can be obtained prospectively as part of clinical trials or accessed through UC Davis Health Clinical Laboratories, where over 5.5 million blood specimens are processed annually.

Biorepository Shared Resource is part of UC Davis Health Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The In vivo Translational Imaging Shared Resource, or IVTISR, provides access to a broad range of in vivo imaging technologies including molecular imaging, optical imaging, quantitative physiologic and anatomic imaging, and whole-body PET/CT scanning in humans and animals. It also provides targeted imaging probes and tracers as well as expertise in planning, executing and analyzing in vivo imaging studies. The resource can support imaging studies in small animals, large animals and humans.

Facility has over a decade of experience in helping to solve a wide variety of bioinformatics problems, large and small. We have significant expertise in analyzing data from omics technologies, and other projects, to help drive research forward. Facility also offers bioinformatics training workshops regularly.

Provides electron microscopy imaging services, expertise, training, training in sample preparation and equipment use.

The Genomics Shared Resource, or GSR, provides expertise and comprehensive services to accomplish virtually every application of next- generation sequencing-based genomics research, including gene expression profiling, mutation/variant analyses, copy number analysis, epigenomics, metagenomics, single-cell sequencing and spatial transcriptomics services. The GSR also specializes in the development of custom protocols and extensive data analysis and integrative bioinformatics support. The shared resource provides a wide range of additional services for translational and clinical genomics research.

The Biostatistics Shared Resource, or BSR, provides expertise in the design, analysis and reporting of cancer-related studies, including basic, translational, clinical and population-based research. The Immune Monitoring, Analysis and Diagnostics Shared Resource, or IMADSR, is a CLIA-certified laboratory established to provide scientific support to investigators conducting clinical studies in humans, preclinical studies in animals and/or studies in veterinary medicine. It is well suited to conduct the immunology-based assays needed to monitor patients in clinical immunotherapy trials, but the IMADSR also offers a variety of different molecular and cellular assays for investigators in different fields, including custom assays designed to meet specific needs. Investigators at any of the University of California campuses, as well as outside investigators in industry and academia, are encouraged to contact the shared resource for research support.

Immune Monitoring, Analysis and Diagnostics Shared Resource is part of UC Davis Health Comprehensive Cancer Center.

HSDAIF is a fluorescence microscopy facility with two Leica confocal microscopes, one with superresolution capability, the second with multi-photon imaging capability, and a Zeiss Lightsheet microscope. The facility offers consultation, training, and support.

Mass spectrometry core offering advanced mass spectrometry services. Serviced include analysis of intact molecules including peptides, proteins, oligonucleotides, polymers and small organic molecules. MALDI, LCMS or direct loop injections. High-resolution accurate mass (HRAM) measurements and tandem MS/MS available. Routine quantitation also available.

Our metabolomics core facility provides state-of-the-art high throughput services for the analysis of small molecules in biological samples. We specialize in the discovery, identification and quantitation of many metabolites and lipids. Our trained technical staff and 17 mass spectrometers ensure accurate and reliable results for the UC Davis community and beyond. Our goal is to support our clients in their research efforts by providing the most advanced metabolomics analysis services available, and help moving the field forward where it falls short. We also provide professional courses in metabolomics analysis and data processing.

The Advanced Materials Characterization and Testing laboratory (AMCaT) is a shared resource facility that is available to all interested users on and off campus. AMCaT supports a wide variety of electron microscopes, including aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopes for the characterization of both hard and soft materials. These capabilities are complemented by state-of-the-art sample preparation equipment, high-resolution x-ray diffractometer, and a variety of different optical microscopes and image analysis software. AMCaT embraces and supports a multi-disciplinary user base of undergraduate, graduate, postdoctoral and faculty researchers at UC Davis and plays a key role in numerous research projects and lab classes.

The UC Davis Proteomics Facility offers protein analysis via amino acid analysis, Edman sequencing and LC-MS/MS including protein identification, post-translational modification discovery, label free quantitation and targeted proteomics. The facility utilizes state of the art instrumentation, including two Thermo Scientific Q-Exactive Mass spectrometers. Our group utilizes open source software and uses techniques and protocols that are made publicly available. Using open source software allows users to analyze their own data without significant monetary investment. We also offer data analysis and sample preparation classes to UC Davis and the community at large, including a week long hands on summer short course (see http://goo.gl/iScMe ). Our group operates as an open core facility with the Genome Center on the UC Davis campus
