The UCSC Chemical Screening Center (CSC) is a shared research facility using high-throughput and high-content screening techniques to aid in the discovery of therapeutic agents and biomedical research tools. Located amidst the majestic redwoods at the top of the UCSC campus, the CSC is dedicated to improving human health by finding the next generation of therapeutic agents against a wide variety of diseases. The CSC is driving innovation in drug discovery by bringing together experts in drug screening with cell and molecular biologists engaged in disease research. The CSC has also assembled a uniquely diverse collection of compounds derived from marine organisms, setting our facility apart as a leader in the discovery of therapeutic natural products.
