The Cornell University NMR Facility provides access to nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy for all of Cornell’s Ithaca Campus, as well as other local institutions, and industrial clients. We are located in the basement of the S. T. Olin Laboratory (rooms B63-B78) in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology. The NMR facility currently houses five spectrometers ranging in field strength from 400 to 600 MHz, including two 500 MHz Brukers equipped with nitrogen-cooled Prodigy™ CryoProbes. The facility is used regularly by over 250 undergraduate and graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and visiting scientists. New users may operate a particular spectrometer independently once they complete the required training and demonstrate the knowledge required for operating each instrument.

The BRC Flow Cytometry Facility provides training, consulting, assisted-use and independent access for a wide variety of cell sorting and analysis.

The BRC Proteomics and Metabolomics Facility provides a diverse range of Mass Spectrometry-based proteomics and metabolomics services.

Cornell Biotechnology Resource Center’s Epigenomics Core Facility (EGC) provides a high-throughput end-to-end service that maps protein-DNA interactions genome-wide, tracks experimental metadata, and implements quality-controlled data processing and research-based analysis pipelines. We provide epigenomic and bioinformatic research resources and services that include sample preparation services and data generation. Our open-source platforms enable and reinforce FAIR data practices. The EGC currently provides support for ChIP-exo, ChIP-seq, ATAC-seq, as well as customized experiments and approaches. We also provide bioinformatic analysis support and consultation. The core is able to receive and process cell and tissue samples for various diagnostic epigenetic assays.

The Transcriptional Regulation & Expression Facility offers end-to-end genomics profiling services including RNAseq, small RNA sequencing, and ATACseq.

The Biomolecular Interactions and Properties Facility is intended to provide investigators with access to advanced tools for measuring biomolecular interactions and properties through a variety of techniques from high throughput screening via automation to single reaction cuvette-based methods. The facility complements technologies and techniques available through our Imaging facility and Proteomics and Metabolomics facility.

The BRC Bioinformatics Facility provides access to a high performance computing environment (BioHPC) which includes both hosted hardware and shared machines. The facility also provides consulting and collaborations for Bioinformatics analysis and workflows.

The Genomics Innovation Hub is a unique resource that complements the services provided by the BRC Genomics Facility.

Working on a collaborative model (as opposed to fee-for-service), the protocol and method development by early adopters pave the way for larger-scale production services.
