The NPC Technology Center offers a curated collection of high-end scientific instrumentation to enable the physicochemical characterization of nanoscale materials, devices, and systems under a wide range of experimental conditions. Our technical capabilities and expertise include surface analysis by Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM); hydrodynamic size and surface charge analysis by Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) and Zeta Potential (ZP) measurements; elemental and chemical analysis by Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS).

Bruker-JPK JPK Nanowizard 4A
The NanoWizard® 4a BioScience atomic force microscope combines atomic resolution fast, scanning and a large scan range of 100µm in one system. It is designed to provide highest mechanical and thermal stability on inverted optical microscopes during long term experiments on samples ranging from single molecules to living cells and tissues.
Malvern Malvern Zetasiver NanoZS
Zetasizer Nano ZS is used for the measurement of the size, electrophoretic mobility of proteins, zeta potential of colloids and nanoparticles, and optionally the measurement of protein mobility and microrheology of protein and polymer solutions. The high performance of the Zetasizer Nano ZS also enables the measurement of the molecular weight and second virial coefficient, A2, of macromolecules and kD, the DLS interaction parameter.
Perkin Elmer Perkin Elmer NexION 2000 ICP-MS
ICP-MS analysis is available for researchers to rapidly determine the qualitative and quantitative composition with wide element coverage (~80 elements) in a single run. The uniquely constructed facility enables the chemical analysis at a part per trillion (ppt, pg/mL) scale with high sensitivity, which shows a much lower detection limit as compared to other analytical instruments (e.g., ICP-OES, AAS).
