The Histology and Imaging Core at UNE (part of the Center of Biomedical Research Excellence for the Study of Pain and Sensory Function) is a one-stop histology and microscopy laboratory offering histology and light microscopy services to UNE researchers and the broader academic/commercial research community. We offer a full range of histology services including embedding, sectioning, routine/special stains and IHC optimization, as well as brightfield, widefield epifluorescence, laser scanning confocal, 2-photon excitation, and atomic force microscopy services. -Sakura TEK5 embedding center

-ThorLabs Bergamo II multiphoton excitation microscope w/ Insight X3 dual-emission laser
-Leica TCS SP5 laser scanning confocal microscope (UV, Ar, 561, 633 laser lines; 3 PMTs and 1 HyD detector) with resonant scanner, Tokai Hit stage top incubator
-Asylum Cypher ES atomic force microscope
-Keyence BZ-X710 digital epifluorescent/brightfield microscope
-Leica DM2500 epifluorescent/brightfield microscope with Stereologer image analysis software
-Nikon E800 epifluorescent/brightfield microscope
-Nikon E400 brightfield dual-headed microscope
-Leica MZ6 dual-headed stereomicroscope
