The genomics platform at the LCSB started at the end of 2016, and offers next-generation sequencing, single cell sequencing services. The platform has currently two sequencers, a NextSeq2000 and a MiSeq from Illumina and a MinION nanopore sequencer from Oxford Nanopore Technologies. The Illumina sequencers allow sequencing tunable read lengths up to 300 bases of single- as well as paired-end runs while the MinION sequencer complements by ultra-long read lengths (up to several hundreds of kilobases). Together this offers high flexibility for the different sequencing needs. The platform offers full service, starting with advice in experimental design up to sequencing data generation. Besides the wide range of standard services, the platform also offers new method development. In addition to next generation sequencing services platform also offers single cell processing and sequencing, digital PCR and genotyping by sequencing services.

Sage Science BluePippin system
Used for DNA Size Selection for Next-Gen Sequencing, with Pulsed-Field (100bp ? 50kb).BluePippin has the DNA capabilities of the Pippin Prep, plus the extra benefit of pulsed-field electrophoresis for resolving and collecting high molecular weight DNA. For long-range genomic applications, high-pass filtering allows users to collect all fragments above a size threshold set by the user. Target sizes or ranges of sizes are entered in software, and fractions are collected in buffer. Up to 5 samples/gel cassette may be run, with no possibility of cross contamination. [Product Link]
