The West Campus Imaging Core (WCIC) is providing access and training to a broad collection of shared instruments currently including a fleet of optical microscopes with three confocal systems, two wide-field systems, a light sheet system, laser-microdissection system, a cell-culture microscope, a stereomicroscope, an optical tweezer system, and an Atomic Force Microscope (AFM). The Core also maintains cell culture equipment such as a biosafety cabinet, incubators, a refrigerator, and microfuges and lab support areas for cell culture and sample preparation.

The Keck Mass Spectrometry (MS) & Proteomics Resource at the Yale School of Medicine provides efficient and cost-effective proteomics and small molecule mass spectrometry-based services. Beside from our developed Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) offered for many of our MS services, we also strive to continue to bring state-of-the-art mass spectrometry-based biotechnologies through input and request from our users. These technologies are developed and implemented with a broad spectrum of mass spectrometry-based techniques and protein/peptide/small molecule chemistries to separate, characterize, profile, and quantify analytes from complex biological samples.

The Yale CBIC has a range of instruments for characterization and structure elucidation of chemical and biophysical samples. Our staff maintains the instruments and provides data collection services as well as training and support for self-use of many of our instruments. We are most equipped in the areas of NMR spectroscopy, Mass spectrometry and X-ray crystallography, but we also have optical and calorimetric instruments.

The Yale Zebrafish Phenotyping Core (YZPC) was founded with two goals. First, to model human diseases in zebrafish with the long-term goal of facilitating small molecule screens for novel therapies. Second, to lower the barrier of entry for Yale investigators seeking to carry out experiments in zebrafish.
We perform gene modification and phenotyping via immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridization, and live imaging. Users can engage with the core on assisted or unassisted projects.
