The Cell Biology and Image Acquisition (CBIA) Core Facility provides state-of-the-art advanced microscopes, image analysis tools, and technical support to facilitate your microscopy research. We offer consultations to determine the most appropriate microscope for your specific needs and the proper design of your experimental set-up. In addition, we provide comprehensive training and follow-up sessions for all first-time users, ensuring optimal use of the imaging systems. The CBIA Core Facility is located within Roger Guindon Hall at the University of Ottawa. Facility resources are available to all uOttawa principal and adjunct investigators, with pay-per-access fee structure geared towards outside academics, government, NGOs, and industry.

Essen Incucyte Incucyte
IncuCyte ZOOM system is a live-cell imaging and analysis platform that enables automated quantification of cell behavior over time (from hours to weeks) by automatically gathering and analyzing images around the clock. The system provides insight into active biological processes in real-time which is not possible using single-point and end-point measurements. The system resides within the controlled environment of a standard cell incubator. All imaging is completely non-invasive and non-perturbing to cell health. The system can process multiple plates, flasks and dishes in parallel and does not depend on shuttling plates into and out of the incubator. [Product Link]
