The CRL Molecular Imaging Center is the largest light microscopy facility at UC Berkeley, serving the campus and surrounding community. The MIC offers training, consultation, and guidance on use of high-end instrumentation, including laser scanning confocal microscopy, lightsheet microscopy, Zeiss Airyscan, spinning disk confocal, fluorescent lifetime imaging, 2-photon and in vivo imaging, slide scanning, and optogenetic exerperiments. We have 19 major microscope systems and are located in 3 buildings on campus, the Life Sciences Building Addition (LSA), the Li Ka Shing Center for Biomedical Research (LKS), and Barker Hall.
