The Core Genomic Facility was established in 1994 to provide a DNA sequencing service to University of Sheffield researchers. Over recent years our service has expanded and we now offer DNA extraction, cell line identification and microsatellite analysis. In addition to scientists at the University of Sheffield, we also serve researchers from a host of UK and European academic institutes in addition to private sector companies.
