The Gene Expression Core (GEC) utilizes multiple state-of-the-art platforms — including microarray-based technologies from Affymetrix, Illumina and Agilent, and quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) instrumentation from Fluidigm and Applied Biosystems — for a variety of gene expression analyses.
Services are also available for library construction and sequencing of whole-genome messenger RNA (mRNA) and microRNA (miRNA) profiling by next-generation sequencing using RNA derived from fresh-frozen tissues; formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissues; laser-capture microdissected cells; and cell lines. Our service is available to customers inside and outside Mayo Clinic.
