Description:
Core offers instruments including equipment and supplies for paraffin and methyl methacrylate embedding of biologic specimens. We have an automated tissue processor for plastic and paraffin embedding preparation (Leica ASP 300S) a Leica rotary microtome for decalcified specimens, Leica semi-automated microtomes for undecalcified tissues, Leica cryostat for frozen sections with special features for undecalcified bone sectioning, Buehler slow speed diamond wafering blade saws, and a precision grinding and polishing machine (Buehler Automet). We also have an Exakt Path Saw for trimming large specimens (that have no metal in them).
