Our goal is to advance research efforts in the life sciences that cannot readily be accomplished in the traditional academic laboratory because of a need for expensive instrumentation or automation, scientific or organizational infrastructure, or multidisciplinary expertise. To promote cutting-edge research and to foster scientific collaborations, we make our extensive resources available to scientists at Harvard. Our technical staff provide expertise and hands-on training and the use of instrumentation for a nominal fee. Researchers can sign up to use the instrumentation through an on-line scheduling system and conduct their experiments independently.
