The Cell Biology and Image Acquisition (CBIA) Core Facility provides state-of-the-art advanced microscopes, image analysis tools, and technical support to facilitate your microscopy research. We offer consultations to determine the most appropriate microscope for your specific needs and the proper design of your experimental set-up. In addition, we provide comprehensive training and follow-up sessions for all first-time users, ensuring optimal use of the imaging systems. The CBIA Core Facility is located within Roger Guindon Hall at the University of Ottawa. Facility resources are available to all uOttawa principal and adjunct investigators, with pay-per-access fee structure geared towards outside academics, government, NGOs, and industry.
The CBIA core is open from Monday to Friday: 8:00AM to 6:00 PM with after hours access for heavy users. The staff is available during working hours to respond to any issues that may arise while using one of our microscopes or any image analysis issue.
